After London, “Zhang Ding: Enter the Dragon 2″ is the second iteration of Zhang Ding’s project curated by Matt Williams and presented at K11 Art Foundation in Shanghai. Following a special performance on the opening night, there will be five public performances held on the following Saturday evenings: 28th May, 4th June, 11th June, 18th June and 25th June.

Below the glass roof of Grand Palais’ nave transformed for Nuit de Chine, Chinese and French artists were surrounded by the public in a staging of images, sounds and lights, created under the direction of Patrick Bouchain, Thierry Dreyfus , Chen Weiya and Pierre Giner, who presented an original video produced for the event. Nuit de Chine was curated by Renaud Donnedieu De Vabres, the former French cultural minister and produced by the French production agency ARTER.

Expedisound: is a collection of music and video works, created from sound bank recorded by a group of music and travel lovers. Those sound banks mainly composed of traditional music and local sounds representative of the countries, are provided to electro musicians in order to reused those sounds materials and give them a second live while respecting their origins.
The project China Expedisound-Yunnan is based on a collaboration between a Naxi traditional music orchestra from Lijiang (Yunnan) the Bashaxili traditional orchestra, 17 European electro musicians and Na Yingyu a Chinese video maker. After African Expedisound and Mongolia Expedisound, the French electro label I.O.T records is producing China Expedisound – Yunnan.
